I have a general question for all.
Who would you consider to be one of the best in the field of glass that you work in?
Who are the people that you look up to?
And no you can not say yourself, please, we all we are the best.
Thanks for taking part in this little quiz.
I'm not sure if this is the best section for this post but It can be moved if it's not.

As I posted in a previous selection, its as follows. I know a few folks who do what I do, mostly restorations, or as I call them, repairs. I am at a "Hobby" level, and not a pro like some others. Vic is probably the one that impresses me most. I read all his suggestions, and tips, and have used many of them. He does not mind sharing information, and its always good information. He may not be a "Diplomat" but he does know his work, and I am always impressed. There are many more folks that I admire for their work, but work that I can use and relate to, does not always come from one who his famous. Vic has top place in my book, for now. He has shared more that I have used than anyone else.
MMM...thanks for those links! Love seeing new contemporary stuff. I really liked Carl Powell's work.
Yes Powell and Zgoda are impressive. But I may look at it as a beveler!
I have just finished some work for Pegasus, John does a lot of larger installations, hopefully I will be able to view these new panels by photos when they are completed.
This last year I have been working with three artist which are forging some new and different areas. All three new to using ground glass in the work. I find they have also pushed my abilities at times. All using thick, colored as well as crystal glass. Tod Beall, Elisabeth Steinbach and Jo Perez
I look forward to see more of thier personal work.
Making money at ones work is a must but also one must still reserve a portion of time for your own work. Enjoy

I've always liked Narcisus quagliata. don't know if I spelled it right. although I? have not seen anything recent, I used to think his stuff showed a great mastery of the material.

I met him in Germany a couple of years ago- he's working on a truly gigantic glass dome (30 metres in diameter) for the main metro station in Kaoshiung , Taiwan. It's an incredible undertaking & I'm not sure when it's going to be finished. Very nice guy.

I'm a little biased because I have worked with them on a few projects, but give one look at their website, and you'll see what I mean.
