Thought I would post a link to my site covering how I hand bevel glass: http://beveledglass.net/HANDBEVELING.html
Just a few pages on the way I do hand beveling. Would be interested in ways others do it with the more modern diamond discs and such.

Dennis,

Do you want this piece? Would it work for you?

Is it thick?
Do I have to beg?
Now, what size is that?
I will try and do your glass justice, send it along.
Got the feeling I will need to be doing an Illusion or two to go back your way

It's about 13mm thick.

14cm x 11.5cm

It's packed, and I'll take it to the post office tomorrow!

Mirror-polished on both sides, it will look pretty good I should think.

Dennis That's a really pretty bevel in the thumbnail. Now I will HAVE to think of something spectacular, but in the meantime I'll send the pattern for my unspectsacular thing tomorrow. got distracted over the weekend making little panels as samples for class members who will take 5 times as long as I think they will to finish them.
Let's see.... how do I get a picture in here anyhow? We could show what we collaborated on way back when..... before you got so arty... It's still pretty nice. I'm glad you are getting the chance to do such nice work.

The thumbnail picture is an "illusion" bevel. I bevel both sides. The one pictured, I alternate sides, ends up looking like a Star of David.

Mary, beveling is beveling. I do what others ask, no arty stuff from me, I leave that up to you and others. I just like to sometimes see what something would look like if I did it a little different. Make a lot of scrap for trash can, not art, every now and again I get a keeper. Doing the "unspectacular", lets one eat, the other stuff makes one feel good.
