You can be a winner by bidding on fabulous merchandise at a silent auction. The KBW Non-Profit Educational Foundation is proud to announce they are hosting a silent auction on their website, www.kbwfoundation.com (http://www.kbwfoundation.com). Through the generous donations given by art glass manufacturers and glass artists, you can win machinery, tools, glass, and one-of-a-kind art glass creations by renowned glass artists. On the website, there are photos of each exciting prize, as well as a description of each product, the name of the supplier and the merchandise, and the retail price.
It’s easy to play. Each item has it’s own bidding sheet. Simply add your bid to the last bid of the product you hope to win. Please note that each item has a minimum bid. Items will also be shipped to you free (within the continental United States).
The mission of the Kay Bain Weiner Educational Glass Art Foundation, known as the KBW Foundation, is to stimulate interest and growth in the industry through educational projects. One of the goals of the group is to attract more people into the glass arena by providing scholarships, supplies, and books to high schools, colleges, and other educational venues.
In the last four years, the KBW Foundation has donated 61,000 surplus books to high schools, colleges, and other educational venues that offer glass-art classes. The foundation has given 21 scholarships for various workshops held during art-glass conferences conducted in the United States.
Retailers, studios, artists, manufacturers, publishers, distributors and interested parties will benefit by getting involved with the foundation. We encourage any interested parties to contact us and participate in the growth of the art glass industry.
